In a significant stride towards bolstering ocean conservation and biodiversity, Falco has officially become a member of the Global Partnership for Business and Biodiversity (GPBB). This move comes ahead of the much-anticipated COP 15 of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) scheduled to take place in Montreal.

The GPBB, often described as a ‘network of networks,’ is a collaborative platform comprising 21 national and regional initiatives. These initiatives share a common goal: integrating biodiversity concerns into business practices. With Falco’s entry, this partnership gains another valuable contributor in its mission to promote sustainability and protect our oceans.

One of the noteworthy members of the GPBB is RespectOcean, an organization dedicated to safeguarding our oceans. It has been designated as one of the two French focal points of the GPBB. RespectOcean‘s mission revolves around championing innovative solutions, engaging with maritime stakeholders, and nurturing the development of new projects aimed at preserving our oceans and promoting responsible marine resource utilization.

Falco’s commitment to ocean conservation has been steadfast since joining RespectOcean in January 2022. This recent development underscores their dedication as they sign the ‘Declaration of the Ocean Players,’ reaffirming their commitment to the cause.

As the world looks ahead to COP 15, the role of the GPBB in mainstreaming biodiversity concerns into the business world becomes increasingly pivotal. Falco’s involvement aligns with the objectives of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Blue Economy, marking a significant contribution to global efforts in ocean conservation and biodiversity preservation.

Stay tuned for more updates on Falco’s role in these ongoing global initiatives, and witness their dedication to a sustainable and thriving ocean ecosystem.
